The band's debut album 'Picture Book' was originally released in 1985 and spawned two hit singles 'Holding Back The Years' and 'Money's too Tight To Mention' which are still popular favourites for many fans. The extended 16 page booklet includes extra pictures and brand new essay by Brian Southall (co-author of the first official and authorized Simply Red story 'If You Don't Know Me By Now', released last year by Carlton Books.
Housed in a special 6 panel digipak and stickered, the CD disc will include the original album plus 5 bonus 12” mixes – all re-mastered from the original tapes. The 12” mixes have only ever been released before on vinyl. The DVD contains a Montreux Jazz Festival 1986 concert, filmed at the time of 'Picture Book'. Previously never available commercially, it includes the track 'I Won't Give Up' - the first appearance of this song on a physical release.
