Marti Pellow

Marti Pellow, one of the greatest music entertainers in Britain today, with millions of records sold worldwide, is building his reputation to even greater heights over the coming months. While the year began with the top ten hit “Weightless” (Marti’s 15th top ten), Marti has finally released his passionate new jazz album “Sentimental Me”, the fruit of two years dedication recording and performing with some of the UK’s finest jazz musicians. This outstanding collection of some of the greatest songs ever written had Michael Parkinson describe it as “A wonderful piece of work” and songwriter Leslie Bricusse on hearing Marti’s version of Who Can I Turn To?, say “This is the best interpretation I have ever heard of my song. Sheer musical brilliance. A masterclass”. Marti recently took a starring role alongside Josh Groban and Idina Menzel in Tim Rice’s much-anticipated 21st anniversary concert presentation of Chess at The Royal Albert Hall.  Marti has also been perfectly cast as the devilish Darryl Van Horne in the brand new production of The Witches of Eastwick, which opens on 25 August 2008 at The Theatre Royal Norwich and continues across the UK before it’s West End run in the Spring of 2009.

“Sentimental Me” has just been released on Rhino Records.
